ABC International Bank plc (ABCIB) has had a busy time in recent months, following the decision to fully absorb the former Milan and Frankfurt operations of its parent, Arab Banking Corporation (Bahrain), and establish a new Iberian marketing office in Madrid. These offices now join the bank’s existing London HQ, Paris branch, and Nordic marketing office in Stockholm to create a truly pan-European banking presence.

To complement this geographical expansion, ABCIB has introduced a bank-wide product matrix management system, which allows for a growing range of trade finance products to be seamlessly provided throughout the bank’s European operations by a specialist (and enlarged) trade finance team. Clients will find an enhanced speed of response to enquiries, underpinned by an expanded specialist knowledge base, claims the bank, a major added benefit from ABCIB’s new structure.
As a result of this expansion, Jeff Fallon has been appointed European head of trade finance marketing and will be assisted by Steve Jenkins, who is coordinating all the European marketing activities.

Furthermore, John Clegg and Phil Cook have joined ABCIB, operating from their familiar former offices in Rawtenstall, Lancashire, to provide exporting clients in the UK with ABCIB’s full range of trade finance products and now able to specifically call upon the bank’s expertise in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
