Global law firm Reed Smith has hired disputes lawyers Peter Glover and Nick Austin (pictured) in partner roles focusing on the shipping industry and international trade.

Glover joins from law firm Norton Rose Fulbright where he was also a partner. He will be based in the firm’s Hong Kong office, specialising in shipping, international trade, arbitration, regulation and marine insurance.

Before his new appointment, Austin was a partner at global law firm Clyde & Co and prior to that a solicitor at Norton Rose Fulbright.

He joins Reed Smith’s London office, focusing on shipping and international trading disputes in the court, arbitration and mediation areas.

Both are due to join the law firm in October and will report to Robert Wilkins and Andrew Taylor, who head up Reed Smith’s transportation industry group.
