New York-based Receivables Exchange (RecX) has hired Glenn Kocher as managing director, institutional sales.

He joins the company from Barclays, where he most recently held the position of head of trade finance and working capital in the Americas. He has also held trade finance positions in the bank’s London and Paris offices.

At RecX, which is an electronic marketplace for the sale of corporate account receivables, Kocher reports to CEO James Toffey, who joined from GFI in May this year.

In his new position, Kocher is responsible for institutional sales, supporting corporates trading over the exchange.

Before joining Barclays, Kocher worked for a number of years in the buy-side asset management industry with institutional investment firm Cambridge Associates, both in their Washington DC and London offices.
