RBS has appointed Sander Hansen as Asia head of structured trade finance in Singapore.

In his new role at the bank, Hansen is responsible for structuring and executing global commodity finance (GCF) and export credit agency (ECA) deals.

He has been with RBS for the last 10 years – most recently as part of the GCF team in the UK. He has also worked in the portfolio management and credit risk teams of the bank.

He reports functionally to Bert Schoen, global head of structured trade finance and in Singapore to Sim Woon Yap, head of trade product management for Asia Pacific.

Commenting on the appointment, Schoen says: “In Asia where intra-regional trade continues to remain robust, Sander’s appointment in Singapore will help to strengthen and deliver RBS’s global product offerings to our clients in the region.”
