Rabobank has brought in Christine Dirringer as its new global head of trade and commodity finance.

She joins from BNP Paribas, where she has spent the last 15 years, initially as a relationship manager in the bank’s North American commodity finance platform, before going on to lead the commodity structured debt product group. In 2020, the asset-based lending team was also brought under her purview. Prior to BNP Paribas, Christine worked at UFJ Bank as a relationship manager. Her pre-banking career includes stints at the trade division of the delegation of the European Commission and a Washington, DC think tank.

She replaces Jasper van Schaik, who has held the role since 2014. A Rabobank spokesperson tells GTR that van Schaik is moving elsewhere within the bank, although his new role is yet to be announced.
