HSBC loses its head of global trade business development as Richard Hayes moves to Scandinavian bank Nordea.

Hayes leaves a 14-year career at HSBC in London to become head of trade and working capital management sales in Nordea’s Copenhagen branch.

Hayes told his social media followers he is “delighted to be joining Nordea Denmark” in the role he started on Tuesday, April 3.

“It’s a really exciting time to be joining the largest financial group in the Nordic region; exciting times ahead,” he added on the appointment.

As global head of business development at HSBC, Hayes oversaw 14 managers in the bank’s global trade and receivables finance division. During his four-year tenure in the role, Hayes worked with the UK department for international trade on Brexit preparations.
