Naveed Sultan has been appointed as head of global transaction services in Europe, Middle East and Africa at Citi. He will take up his new role on October 2007.

He will report to Paul Galant, CEO of global transaction services and Bill Mills, CEO, Citi markets and banking in the EMEA.

Sultan has extensive experience in relationship management, corporate banking and product management. Before this appointment he worked as head of cash management in EMEA at Citi.

He joined Citi in 1993 after having worked in a number of senior positions at Saudi American Bank, including global transaction banking group head and senior country operations officer.

In 1999 he became the business head for Citi’s cash and trade product groups in Western Europe, based in London. In August 2003 he was appointed head of cash management in EMEA.
