Corina Muller Monaghan has joined Coface North America Insurance, a provider of commercial trade credit and political risk insurance, as vice-president in the commercial department.

Muller Monaghan’s primary responsibility will be to spearhead the further development of Coface North America’s political risk insurance products. She will manage a team based in the New York office, and report to Corine Troncy, executive vice-president.

Coface political risk insurance provides companies with protection against financial or commercial losses due to political events or decisions. Political risk coverage is available to shield against the non-payment of trade receivables, expropriation or nationalisation of assets, currency inconvertibility and the unfair calling of performance bonds.

Muller Monaghan has over 15 years of experience in international and political risk underwriting, most recently at Chubb and the World Bank/Miga. Before that she served in underwriting positions at Chubb Group subsidiaries in the US, Brazil and UK.
