HSBC has appointed Bruno Lechevalier as head of structured trade finance – Asia Pacific. Lechevalier is responsible for driving the development of structured trade finance (STF) business across the region.

Alistair Currie, HSBC’s head of trade services – Asia Pacific said: “HSBC currently has a market-leading trade finance franchise in the Asia Pacific region and will be able to further enhance its trade finance proposition by strengthening its STF capabilities through the appointment of Bruno”.
Lechevalier reports to Alistair Currie, with an additional reporting line to Jean-Francois Lambert, global head of structured trade finance.

Before his appointment in Asia, Lechevalier spent five years with HSBC CCF’s structured trade finance team in Paris as its deputy head and was involved in a number of high profile European STF transactions. Before that, he was responsible for handling the Sub-Saharan African business for CCF as a relationship manager and spent over 10 years working in the corporate/commercial banking divisions.
