Law firm Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw will be known globally as Mayer Brown from September 1, 2007. The firm is active in the trade and project finance market, and was involved in the landmark hybrid transaction for First Quantum Minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo signed last year.

Commenting on the adoption of a standard global branding, the firm’s chairman remarks: “Unifying our brand name to Mayer Brown is a powerful sign of the global firm we have built, and will serve to communicate our strength as a leader in the legal industry.”

Vice-chairman Kenneth Geller adds: “Our name will change to reflect how the market – as well as our own staff – has traditionally referred to us.  But our focus on client service and client relationships will not change, nor will our unique platform which allows us to provide the highest calibre of service to clients wherever they may be.”
