KfW Ipex-Bank has promoted Christof Kühnlein to director in charge of the financial institutions, trade and commodity finance business.

His will be responsible for the bank’s mid and long-term export and project financings.

“KfW Ipex-Bank has identified this area as [an] ideal extension to its business activities,” a spokesperson tells GTR.

“Christof’s role is to foster the growth in this area.”

Kühnlein will report to Gisela von Krosigk, head of leveraged, mezzanine and equity finance and financial products advisory.

Before joining the bank in 2008, Kühnlein was at RBS where he headed up the structured asset finance team in Frankfurt, Germany.
