JP Morgan has appointed Stuart Roberts as its new global head of trade in New York. He joins from Citi, where he was global head of trade sales.

He takes over responsibility for global trade from Pravin Advani, former head of global trade and loan products in Singapore, who has moved to the corporate client banking and specialised industries (CCBSI) area of the bank’s commercial banking team as managing director and head of Asia Pacific.

This is Roberts’ second departure from Citi. He left the post of North America trade sales head in 2008 to join Wells Fargo as head of supply chain finance, before rejoining Citi in 2013.

He has also worked at HSBC and RBS.
