Shirish Garg has been appointed head of the core trade team for the Emea region at JP Morgan Payments.

Garg, who is also global lead for exports at the bank, started in the role this month.  

Previously, Garg worked at Lloyds Bank, where he held roles such as transaction banking sales director and Asia Pacific sales director for transaction banking. 

Prior to this, he was regional lead for supply chain finance sales within transaction banking at MUFG, based in Singapore. 

He also served at Standard Chartered for nine years, where his roles included global product manager for the supply chain finance department.

Earlier in his career, Garg completed a six-year stint at Citi in India and Malaysia, serving in various trade asset management and global production management supply chain finance roles.

JP Morgan recently hired Laura Galvin as global head of export finance, with a mandate to grow the bank’s export finance platform.
