ING has named Cauê Todeschini as the lender’s global lead for trade and commodity finance (TCF), effective immediately.
Todeschini, who has been heading TCF operations in the Americas since 2023, replaces Maarten Koning in the role, who has taken on the job of global head of private markets.
Based in Geneva, he will report to Paul-Emmanuel Aerts, global head of sector commodities, food and agri.
Todeschini joined ING in 2010 and has held various roles at the bank, working in São Paulo, Geneva and the US.
In 2020, he became head of TCF Houston, where ING said he played “a pivotal role in establishing ING’s physical presence in the Gulf Coast”. Three years later, he was named head of TCF Americas, splitting his time between New York and Houston.
Todeschini has more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance, and previously worked for MUFG and Natixis.
“Cauê brings deep sector knowledge and a strong track record of leadership,” ING said. “He is well positioned to continue strengthening ING’s global TCF franchise while preparing the business for the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
The lender said a successor for Todeschini’s role as head of TCF Americas would be announced in due course.
At the start of last year, ING expanded its TCF business in Geneva with a newly created TCF products department, headed up by Fabienne Jaggy Moriggi.
