The Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim) has appointed Yaduvendra Mathur as chairman and managing director of the bank.

Mathur, since 2011, was chairman and managing director at Rajasthan Financial Corporation and has been involved in various positions in the finance department, including principle secretary for the government of Rajasthan. From 2001 to 2003, during his postings under the Department of Economic Affairs in Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia, Mathur worked as assistant to the executive director of African Development Bank. Here he worked with India Exim to promote business opportunities for Indian companies on the African continent. Mathur worked as energy secretary of Rajasthan for over three years, establishing three power plants in the state during his tenure.

Mathur has expertise in entrepreneurship development, infrastructure financing, regulatory issues and in behavioural sciences.
