HSBC has appointed Andy Cairns and Aaron Tan as co-heads of the debt finance team in the region, excluding Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
The local heads of debt finance in India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines will report to Cairns, while the local heads in China, Taiwan and Thailand will report to Tan. Tan will also be responsible for Hong Kong clients.
A debt finance execution team will be created in Hong Kong, headed by Gina Tang. Tang will report to both Cairns and Tan.
Joel Consing will relocate to Hong Kong from Singapore to head a new group within DFA called Financing Solutions, which will be responsible for strategic debt financing advice to HSBC clients, particularly in respect of merger, acquistion, product or balance sheet restructuring.
All three report to Stephen Williams.
Furthermore, HSBC has appointed Anasuya Dhoraisingam as director, head of debt finance, Singapore, following the relocation of Joel Consing to Hong Kong. In her new role, she will report to Simon Cooper in Singapore and functionally to Andy Cairns.
Dhoraisingam joins from Deutsche Bank where she specialised in distributing structured trade and export finance products covering Asia Pacific. Before Deutsche, she was responsible for primary and secondary loan origination and distribution with Citigroup in Singapore. Prior to Citigrouop she was with ABN Amro where she covered syndications in Southeast Asia and the Indian sub-continent.
