David Easton and Damian Austin, both previously of WestLB, are starting at HSBC Forfaiting in May.

“These signings represent excellent acquisitions for HSBC and reinforce our goals of dynamic growth and profitability of our existing forfaiting operations in the Western Hemisphere supported by sound business/management practice,” claims Geoff Sharp, HSBC’s head of forfaiting-western hemisphere, their immediate reporting head.

David Easton has been appointed director – head of forfaiting execution unit, London and responsible for all execution, documentary and risk management functions of the business. Easton joins from WestLB and brings significant banking administration and trade finance skills gained from management postings in New York and London, says Sharp.

Austin also joins from WestLB and has been appointed manager responsible for primary and secondary market origination and sales functions within Western Europe.
