HSBC has appointed Jane Belova-Barr as senior vice-president of portfolio management and distribution in London, a newly-created role for the bank.

Belova-Barr joins the bank from Standard Chartered, where she served since 2011 as director of trade asset sales in New York.

As part of HSBC’s European portfolio management and distribution team, she will report to Eric de Vienne, and will focus on distributing receivables financing and supply chain programmes.

Belova-Barr has been active in the trade finance market for over 20 years, starting her career with Standard Bank London Limited, which first took her to New York. She has since worked with Israel Discount Bank, Rosemount Capital Management and Arab Banking Corp. Over the course of her career, she has worked not only in trade asset distribution for both corporates and FIs but also in asset origination and syndication.
