International law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has hired partners Folkert Graafsma and Matthew Parish to its Brussels and Geneva offices respectively.

Graafsma specialises in international trade and customs law. Before joining HFW, he was co-founder and partner at Brussels trade law firm Vermulst Verhaeghe Graafsma & Bronckers.

Meanwhile, Parish who was previously with Akin Gump in Geneva, specialises in international dispute resolution, including cross-border litigation, international trade, foreign investment, emerging markets and public international law.

His practice involves a number of industry sectors, including energy and infrastructure and international trade and shipping.

Parish has built up significant experience of international trade issues affecting the emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe.
