Haydn Dare has joined Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) as a partner in Southeast Asia with a particular focus on Singapore and Indonesia.

Dare has worked in the Asia Pacific region for over 20 years and is widely regarded as one of the leading commercial practitioners in Indonesia. He joins the firm from his previous position as senior international counsel at Hiswara, Bunjamin & Tandjung, the Indonesian associated firm of Herbert Smith Freehills (where he started working in the late 1980s). He remains based in Indonesia.

Dare specialises in structuring foreign investment and in energy and mineral resources, infrastructure and project finance, and mergers and acquisition transactions. His clients come from a wide range of industries, including financial services, infrastructure and resources (hard rock and coal).

Dare’s appointment follows the firm’s recent announcement of the formation of a formal law alliance in Singapore with AsiaLegal. The alliance operates under the name HFW AsiaLegal.
