Peter Hampson has left Crown Agents Bank and joined BACB as associate director for Anglophone Africa.

He had been with Crown Agents Bank, where he held the position of vice-president of trade finance, since 2014. His responsibilities included managing the bank’s Eastern and Southern African client base, and forging relationships with financial institutions across both regions.

Hampson previously worked at Ebury Partners as a trade finance documentary controller and at the Access Bank UK, in a variety of trade finance roles.

In his new position at BACB, Hampson will be based within the clients and coverage team at its headquarters in London and report to John Fussell, associate director of MEA markets.

A spokesperson from the bank tells GTR that “Peter’s trade finance experience and expertise in Africa’s English-speaking markets will play an important part in the bank’s growing presence across the region”.
