Malta’s Fimbank has hired three vice-presidents as the bank looks to bolster its global capabilities.

Mircea Frasineanu has joined the bank as first vice-president and project manager, factoring joint ventures.

Frasineanu joins Fimbank from a deputy general manager position at Benefica, a Bucharest holding company.

Antonio Salgueiro has been named as Fimbank’s first vice-president and head of Mediterranean factoring.

Salgueiro has been in the industry for 25 years, including spending time at a number of factoring houses such as Heller Factoring Portuguesa and Sociedade de Factoring, where he held the position of client and operations manager before moving the Fimbank.

Finally, Karim Kadar has been chosen as a vice-president within Fimbank’s corporate and institutional banking department.

Mr Frasineanu, Mr Salgueiro and Mr Kadar are all top specialists in their respective fields.”

Kadar joins the Maltese bank from Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank where he was the head of the structured trade finance business.

Kadar also spent five years as head of trade finance at the London offices of West African investment organisation Afrinvest.
