Norhan Ezzat has been named head of transaction banking at UAE-based Bank of Sharjah.
In the new role, Ezzat will be responsible for establishing Bank of Sharjah’s global transaction banking (GTB) franchise, working across cash management, trade finance, supply chain finance and digital channels.
The role spans strategy, product development, advisory capabilities and client experience, with Ezzat tasked with positioning the bank competitively in the UAE and the wider region.
Ezzat started the role in November 2025 and reports to the chief wholesale banking officer, Nasser Salem Al-Ali.
She joins from Arab African International Bank, where she was head of global transaction banking and business banking.
Ezzat’s previous experience includes four years at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, where her most recent role was head of structuring and commercialisation, global transaction banking.
She also spent six years at Standard Chartered in the UAE, where her roles included associate director, transaction banking, global Islamic products.
