Newly-established trade credit insurer Equinox Global has made two more senior appointments to boost its macroeconomic forecasting ability.

Gaurav Ganguly has been hired as head of risk strategy and Marian Berden as senior credit and macro analyst.

Both will take up their roles at Equinox Global on March 1.

Gaurav was previously chief economist at Atradius, where he built and led an economics unit specialising in the assessment of macroeconomic risks and their impact on industry sectors, both within emerging markets and in advanced economies.

Berden joins Equinox Global from Axis Capital, where she worked as a macro analyst focusing on political risk and credit insurance.

She has also worked as a senior risk analyst at Atradius and at the ministry of finance in the Netherlands as policy advisor for export credit insurance and investment guarantees.

“These two extremely high-calibre appointments reflect the founding philosophy of Equinox Global.”

“These two extremely high-calibre appointments reflect the founding philosophy of Equinox Global,” says Mike Holley, chief executive officer of Equinox Global. “The more thorough our approach to understanding and measuring risk, the better equipped we are to provide tailored propositions to our customers.

“Gaurav and Marian are leaders in their fields and their addition to the team and the analytical skills they bring will be of real benefit to our customers.”

Equinox has been in expansion-mode since its Q4 2010 launch, and recently announced that ex-Coface UK account manager Sarah Winstone would be joining as a senior underwriter on April 1.
