Web-based trade finance solution provider Elcy has appointed Shirley Mutter to its senior management team.

Mutter has extensive knowledge in trade finance and has held director-level responsibilities with a number of commodity finance banks, including SMBCE and Citibank. She will be working alongside Dean Jameson, global director of marketing, focusing on client relationships and ensuring that Elcy’s client base of global corporates and banks are fully familiar with the company’s products.

Mutter’s appointment follows that of Sabyasachi Mohapatra, who joined the company in 2015 as the new director for Elcy Asia. He is responsible for the roll-out and the marketing of Elcy’s products across Asia.

Mohapatra joined from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was vice-president and head of trade and supply chain finance in Singapore. He has 15 years of experience as a senior banker in trade finance in Asia. His appointment is critical for the company’s development, as many clients are increasingly expecting to extend their use of Elcy’s products to Singapore and the Far East.

“These two appointments mark a further step in Elcy’s commitment to the trade finance marketplace,” says Robin Cohen, the company’s CEO. “Sabya and Shirley will complement our existing senior personnel in providing support and expertise to the growing Elcy community of global corporates and banks.”
