Danske Bank has appointed experienced banker Patrik Zekkar to the role of head of supply chain advisory.

As part of the bank’s working capital and liquidity strategy focus going forward, Zekkar will report to Søren Haugaard, head of customer finance international (CSI), transaction banking (TxB).

Zekkar joins Danske from SEB where his most recent role was head of corporate segment sales including cash management, trade finance and supply chain finance.

He began his 14-year career at SEB as vice-president, export and project finance, before working within structured trade finance. He also spent time as relationship manager covering corporate banking from SEB’s Southeast Asia office in Singapore.

Zekkar previously held positions at Swedish Export Credit’s project finance department and Telia Financial Services International, covering leasing and hire purchasing.

“I’m excited to join a Danske Bank TxB determined to deliver a supply chain offer adapted to support clients in a more complex reality, with maintained focus on simplicity and efficiency,” says Zekkar.

“Patrik will be instrumental when we execute on our target to take the lead in the international arena but especially cement our position as unrivalled leader in the Nordic region” says Haugaard.
