Commodity trade finance arranger and trade credit insurance broker Cofarco has hired Stephen Dimon as part of its project and natural resources finance team.

Dimon was previously a vice-president with Taylor-DeJongh, an energy and infrastructure investment banking firm, where he worked on upstream, LNG and power project financing in Sub-Saharan Africa.

He brings five years of experience in upstream and project financing.

Commenting on the appointment, Cofarco executive partner Laure Pironneau-Morris says: “We are delighted to have Stephen joining the team as he brings a strong project financing capability to our natural resources business. This will strengthen and broaden the spectrum of services that we offer to our clients in the energy and commodities sectors.”

Paris-based Cofarco recently opened its first international office in Geneva and appointed Guillaume de la Ville to head it.
