Christine Lam is the new country head for Citi in China, overseeing all banking operations in the Mainland.

She has worked at the bank for 33 years, most recently as head of operations and technology, Asia Pacific. She replaces Andrew Au, who is retiring, and will report to Francisco Aristeguieta, the bank’s CEO, Asia Pacific.

Lam joined the bank as a management associate and has held various positions in the transaction services and corporate banking space in Hong Kong, Canada and across Asia.

The move is the latest in Citi’s regional rejig. Earlier in April, Gerry Keefe was appointed head of corporate banking for Asia Pacific.
