Citi has named Amit Dhawan head of its SME business for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Dhawan will report to head of commercial banking for the region, Ashish Bajaj. He was most recently head of commercial lending management for Asia, and has been with Citi, in a variety of roles in Singapore, India and Zambia, for 25 years.

In another senior appointment, Rodney Lee has been named head of commercial bank digitisation for Asia, responsible for the bank’s digitisation strategy. He was most recently head of sales strategy and client experience, also in Singapore.

“These appointments underline our commitment to further support our commercial banking clients. Many of our clients are growing fast and with Citi’s global network, we are best placed to help them meet their aspirations. We are confident we are supporting many of the champions of tomorrow from Asia who increasingly want a leading digital banking partner with a global footprint,” says Bajaj.
