Citi has appointed David Ratliff as Asia Pacific head of public sector banking. This newly created position combines corporate and investment banking coverage with markets and securities services coverage of public sector clients in the region.

Ratliff will manage public sector client coverage relationships in Asia, providing solutions including privatisations, capital markets, loans, derivatives, sales and trading, cash management, foreign exchange, trade finance and custody. He will also oversee markets relationship coverage for public sector clients in Asia including central banks, finance ministries, sovereign wealth funds, development banks, and central governments.

He will report to Mark Slaughter, head of corporate and investment banking Asia Pacific, and Julie Monaco, global head of Citi’s public sector group.

This integrated role underlines our priority of ensuring we are delivering solutions to public sector clients across Citi’s institutional clients group. This client base is at the core of our growth strategy in the region,” says Slaughter.
