Bolero International has appointed Anchal Tiwari as head of product management. It is a new role for the trade digitisation firm and is in line with its ambition to deliver new solutions for clients.

Tiwari joins from Intellect Design Arena, where he had been since 2015, serving as vice-president, head of product management for trade and supply chain finance in London.

Before that, he co-founded TGFC India, India’s first food discovery platform, and previously worked for Polaris Financial Technology as a lead solutions architect and product manager in India, and for Tata Consultancy Services in Hong Kong.

At Bolero in London, Tiwari will spearhead the company’s “renewed focus on building and delivering new digital technology solutions for the global trade market that meet fast-changing customer requirements”, Bolero says in a statement.

Bolero was established in 1998 by Swift and the global logistics and insurance industry. It digitises trade processes and transactions, such as the bill of lading.

Commenting on his move, Tiwari says: “With my experience of working with customers globally and delivering technology solutions, I believe I can put Bolero at the forefront of customer-focused digital trade solutions.”

He reports to Andrew Raymond, who became CEO of Bolero in March this year, who says that the appointment marks Bolero’s “determination to evolve and innovate as a solution-provider in a very dynamic market”.

“All around the globe, carriers, corporates and banks have grasped the necessity of being digital. We are adding more bandwidth and talent to the team as we listen and respond to the market with purpose-built new applications that are tightly focused on adding value for customers,” says Raymond. “Our platform and applications are built for trade professionals by trade professionals and address customer needs, not just the technology challenges. Exciting times are ahead.”
