The British Exporters’ Association (BExA) has appointed Dints CEO and reigning GTR BExA young exporter of the year 2013, Geoff de Mowbray, to its council.

“I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to be on BExA’s Council. Export is a crucial part of the British economy and in this ever shrinking world it is necessary for companies to look to international markets,” de Mowbray says.

“BExA is a great hub for companies involved in export to represent our interests and I am looking forward to getting involved in the work of the association.”

De Mowbray joins the council of the independent national trade association, which represents the interests of the export community. He founded Dints International, an international trading enterprise, in 2007.

The association is managed by its council, which consists of 10 elected representatives of member companies as well as elected officers and the chair of each of the association’s committees.

“Council was delighted to co-opt Geoff,” says Hugh Bailey, director of BExA. “With his knowledge of the intricacies of international trade, his innovative approach to trading and his experience of African and other markets, Geoff will undoubtedly make an invaluable contribution to council discussions.”

Director of international trade finance at Mabey Bridge, Tony Chitty, and senior regional commercial underwriter at Euler Hermes UK, Guillaume Simonnet, have also been co-opted to the council.
