Barclays has appointed Payman Jassim as a director in its trade and working capital transaction management team.

Based in London, he will be responsible for driving the execution of structured trade transactions, working with the trade origination team to create solutions for clients’ trade finance needs.

Jassim joins Barclays from JP Morgan where he was a structured trade advisor. Before that, he was a trade finance lawyer at RBS, as well as law firms SNR Denton and White & Case.

Commenting on his new role, Jassim says: “Growing the trade and working capital capabilities is key to Barclays’ long-term corporate banking strategy, and I look forward to further supporting this by driving the implementation of successful structured trade transactions for our clients.”
