Kwabena Ayirebi has been appointed regional head of global trade and receivables finance (GTRF) for HSBC Mena. He replaces Tim Evans, who recently moved with the bank to Hong Kong.

Ayirebi has been with the bank for 11 years, most recently as global head of business management, GTRF. He starts his new role on March 1 and will be based in Dubai.

Vinay Mendonca will take over Ayirebi’s current London-based role in March.

Mendonca presently works as the bank’s global head of product management for core trade. He has also led product management for GTRF in India and held positions in payments and cash management. He joined the bank in 2006.
