Former Barclays banker Damian Austin has started his new role at Bank ABC, GTR can confirm. He is now the bank’s first vice-president, global trade debt and distribution, based in London.

Austin was previously the global head of trade finance syndications at Barclays – a role that he had held since June 2011. He previously worked at HSBC, WestLB and British Arab Commercial Bank.

Richard Waite has also been appointed to the role of first vice-president, global trade debt and distribution. He joins from HSBC, where he was director of export credit and global specialised finance capital financing, global banking and markets. He previously held positions at OCBC Bank and WestLB.

He will start at Bank ABC on January 16.
