Aspen Insurance UK has bolstered its stable of analysts and underwriters with new hires from AIG and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Sam Ouin (pictured) joins as senior underwriter and will report into Carolyn Thomas, global head of credit and political risk.

Ouin moves to Aspen from AIG where he had served as UK head of political risk since 2017.

Meanwhile, Frank Cibej has taken on a role of credit analyst, bringing 10 years of experience as a credit officer on project finance and structured trade finance. Cibej will also report to Thomas.

Cibej moves to Aspen from ICBC where he served for just under two years as a credit analyst. Prior to ICBC, Cibej held roles at Wilmington Trust, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and RBS.

Both roles are based in London.
