ANZ has named Vishnu Shahaney as head of its Indonesian operations.

Shahaney has held the position of CEO, Singapore since 2010 and takes over from Joseph Abraham, who leaves the bank after seven years in this position.

Shahaney has been with ANZ for more than 10 years, having worked in various roles in corporate banking and risk in Australia previously.

ANZ announced last year that it was scaling down its Asia trade finance business, but it is still actively involved in banking Australian companies in the region, particularly in the commodities space.
