Argentinean law firm Alfaro Abogados has appointed Soledad Matteozzi as partner in its new China office, based in Beijing.

Matteozzi was a resident partner in the firm’s New York office between 2001 and 2014, after which she became of counsel and moved to Stockholm. She has over 15 years of experience in international transactions, specialising in foreign investments and corporate law, and is admitted to practise law in Argentina and in the state of New York.

In her new role, she will advise Chinese companies doing business in Argentina. Alfaro Abogados’ Chinese clients have so far included the likes of Sinopec, Sinohydro, Beijing Construction and Engineering Group, China Petroleum and Development Corporation, Sinotruk and Gezhouba, among others.

She will also assist Argentinean and Latin American companies doing business in China.

Alfaro Abogados is the first Argentinean law firm to have a presence in China.
