Swedish export credit agency EKN is altering its prolongation fee structure. EKN’s guarantee offer is valid six months from the day of approval. The validity can be prolonged in three month intervals against a prolongation fee.

The prolongation fee will now no longer be charged for guarantee offers that lead to the issuance of a guarantee. The decision to discontinue charging prolongation fees is foremost due to wishes from some of its clients.

A separate restitution of the paid prolongation fee will be made at the same time as the invoice for the guarantee is sent.

Restitution of the prolongation fees will be done in all cases where the guarantee has been issued on April 1 and forward.
