Alpha Bank, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (bookrunner), Commerzbank (bookrunner), Dresdner Bank, DZ Bank, Finansbank Holland, GarantiBank International, HSBC (bookrunner), ICICI, National Bank of Egypt (UK), National Bank of Greece, Standard Bank, State Bank of India, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe (facility agent) and WestLB AG, London (bookrunner), as mandated lead arrangers, have been mandated to arrange a US$200mn syndicated short-term trade-related loan facility for Russia’s Alfa Bank.

According to Alfa, it is Russia’s largest private banking group and offers a full range of banking services through over 120 branches. It is rated B by S&P, B+ by Fitch and Ba2 by Moody’s .

The arrangers launched general syndication on October 6.

ABH Financial is guarantor for the loan, which will be used to finance trade-related projects of Alfa’s customers.

The term is one year from the drawdown date, while the margin is 1.00% per year.
