ATF Bank, Kazakhstan has successfully signed an increased US$550mn syndicated term loan facility through bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers Deutsche Bank London and RZB.

Following a substantial oversubscription, the loan was increased from an initial launch amount of US$400mn. It is ATF Bank’s largest ever international syndicated loan transaction and the fifth largest ever loan for a Kazakh bank.

ATF Bank is the fourth largest bank in Kazakhstan in terms of total assets as at December 31, 2005 according to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Further MLAs are ABN AMRO, Citigroup, GarantiBank International, ING Wholesale Banking and Mizuho Corporate Bank, committing US$30mn each.

The syndicate comprises of the following senior banks and further 37 lenders:

Arrangers are American Express Bank GmbH, BayernLB and Wachovia Bank with US$20mn; co-arrangers are Fortis Bank, Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Commercial International Bank Egypt with US$15mn.

The margin is 1% per year.

The tenor is 370 days (plus extension option).
