TC Venkat Subramanian has been appointed chairman and managing director of Export-Import Bank of India. Until this appointment, Venkat Subramanian was managing director and CEO.

He joined India Exim in 1982 when the bank was set up. Before joining India Exim, Venkat Subramanian had worked in the Bank of India and the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI).

Venkat Subramanian is also chairman of two India Exim joint ventures – Global Procurement Consultants Ltd, and Global Trade Finance Pvt Ltd. He is also director on the boards of Agricultural Finance Corporation and Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium.
