Noble Group has opened three agriproduct operations in Brazil, Italy and Russia to underpin its penetration into key regional markets.

The expanded Brazilian trading centre in Sao Paulo is headed by Thomas Daetwyler. Daetwyler and his team bring a wealth of experience from Cargill, ADM, Continental Grain, Bunge and Conagra and are responsible for securing Brazilian origination.

Noble Italy is led from Rome by Francesco Fiorentini who will oversee servicing the division’s distribution activities in the Mediterranean and Adriatic regions on the back of Noble’s established presence in Turkey, North Africa, Middle East and the Black Sea. Fiorentini and his team bring experience from Continental Grain, Galaxy and Grain Partners.

During July, Yuri Voichishin will be joining Noble’s Moscow team to enhance and develop domestic and transnational business in, into and out of Russia. With relevant experience within Exporttkhleb, Cargill, Tradigrain and Rusagro Voichishin will extend Noble’s agriproducts reach into the Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

“These appointments are consistent with our long-term objective,” says Esteban Zombory, responsible for the development of Noble Grain’s agribusiness operations in South America, “to consolidate our presence in this part of the world with a view to providing a stable sourcing platform for our customers wherever they are. We anticipate steady growth in the Mercosur region and I’m certain we’ve got the right team to accelerate that programme.”

“We listen to our customers and respond to their needs,” adds Diego Barbero, general ganager of Noble Grain Europe. “It really is that simple. When doing so takes us into new fields and new territories then time and again we have shown that we can respond; I don’t see that changing.”
