Matthew Latham has joined Standard Chartered’s Southeast Asia loan syndications team as an associate director.

 

He previously spent three years as business planning manager for Standard Chartered’s loan syndications team in Hong Kong. Before that, he worked in Standard Chartered’s product management team in Singapore and London, which was responsible for the development and management of trade finance and Lending products.


In his new role, Latham will be based in Singapore reporting to Pat Waranimman, managing director and head of syndications for SE Asia. He will support the bank’s primary syndicated loan activities across Southeast Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.
Gale Gerrier has also joined Standard Chartered – as an associate director in the loan distribution team in Hong Kong. She reports to Grance Wong, head of distribution for NE Asia.


Gerrier joins from BNP Paribas in Paris where she spent five years as an associate director in the loan syndications and trading team specialising in structuring leveraged buy-out transactions and non-recourse acquisition finance deals across Europe. Before that, she worked in the syndications team at Paribas in Singapore, and in the corporate finance team at Paribas in London.
