In line with the employment contract signed in 1998, Finnvera’s board of directors and the company’s managing director Markku M‘kinen have today agreed that M‘kinen will retire on July 1, 2005.

The decision is based on the joint conclusion that the company has now reached a stable phase where the change of managing director can be carried out smoothly.

Kalle Korhonen, chairman of the board, says that the initiative was taken by M‘kinen himself. There are no underlying differences of opinion or individual events that would have prompted this decision.

For his part, M‘kinen says that the company is now in a good shape and people are ready to roll up their sleeves and get down to work. It’s a good time to make this move, he claims.
