Crédit Agricole CIB has named Martin Serrand as global head of international trade and transaction banking (ITB) for financial institutions, as the bank seeks to bring a “new dynamic” to the division.
Paris-based Serrand took up the role on January 1 and reports to global trade and commodities head Dominique Honoré.
He has spent nearly two decades at the bank, most recently as head of ITB for non-bank financial institutions.
In his new role, Serrand has been tasked with coordinating a “new scope” for ITB’s financial institutions trade activity, including a full global outreach and a reviewed strategy, Crédit Agricole said.
He is also responsible for overseeing the lender’s bank portfolio management team.
The move follows Crédit Agricole’s appointment of Marianne Ouzone as head of export credit agency and multilateral financing, announced this week.
