Insurer Zurich has announced that Edward Moeller has joined its business unit providing insurance solutions in emerging markets as a senior underwriter for trade credit insurance in the Washington, DC office.

Before joining Zurich, Moeller was a credit officer with US Ex-Im Bank, underwriting trade credit risk in a variety of industrial sectors and markets.

“Ed adds substantial depth to our trade credit underwriting team,” says Daniel Riordan, executive vice-president and managing director of Zurich’s emerging markets unit. “He is a valuable addition to our growing trade credit practice as we develop insurance solutions tailored to exporters, commodity traders and the banks that support their businesses.”

Zurich underwrites political risk and trade credit insurance in emerging markets for financial institutions, multinational corporations, investors, exporters and infrastructure developers from offices in Washington DC, Barcelona, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.
