Global insurer XL Catlin has appointed Zoe Xie as the client and distribution leader for Asia, a newly-created role. She joins from Willis Towers Watson, where she held the position of divisional director of broking in Asia.

Based in Singapore, Xie is responsible for delivering client and broker strategies for the Singapore and Hong Kong businesses and strengthening relationships with brokers and clients in Asia.

Jonathan Mead, XL Catlin’s head of client and broker management for Asia Pacific, says Xie “will be an excellent addition to the team” owing to “her strong client management expertise and vast knowledge in the insurance field across Asia markets”.

“Asia is a high growth yet competitive and diverse market,” says XL Catlin’s chief executive of Asia Pacific insurance Craig Langham. “Whilst clients are facing increasingly complex risks, there have never been more opportunities for us to make a difference to our clients and brokers. Zoe’s appointment reflects XL Catlin’s continued commitment to investing in the best talent to support businesses in Asia.”
