Insurance group Willis has opened a new political risk, terrorism and trade credit unit in Copenhagen, with Azzizza Larsen at the helm.

The unit will provide solutions for multinational companies and financial institutions in the Nordics region, with Larsen assuming the role of financial solutions executive director. He will report to Paul Davidson, global product leader, political risk.

Larsen has worked at Willis’ London operation for seven years, after joining from EDC, Canada’s export credit agency.

Paul Davidson says the new office represents a logical expansion of Willis’ existing geographical centres in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.

He continues: “Our Nordic unit will bring a more tailored and focused offering to the Nordic companies facing these volatile risks as they increasingly look to expand overseas.”
