After serving 20 years at the Berne Union, Kimberly Wiehl has left her post as secretary-general. She will be taking up a senior position at her family’s company.

Lennart Skarp, currently deputy secretary-general, will assume the position of acting secretary-general until a successor is appointed.

Wiehl directed the Berne Union’s professional activities for its 48 member companies for nearly 10 years. She also led efforts to advocate the role of the export credit and investment insurance industry in facilitating global trade, while working with the Basel Committee regarding Basel II and III proposals.
